N. Richard Janis (nrjanis@janisschuelke.com). Dick Janis received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and his law degree from Harvard Law School. Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Janis served for more than three years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia. In 1976 he entered private practice and in 1979 he was joined by Larry Wechsler and Hank Schuelke, forming Janis, Schuelke & Wechsler. From 1985-1991, Mr. Janis served first as a member and then as the Chairman of a Hearing Committee for the D.C. Bar's Board of Professional Responsibility, and from 2002 to 2008, Mr. Janis served as a member, Vice Chair and then Chair of the Committee on Grievances of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. In August, 2005, Mr. Janis was made a member of the American Bar Association Presidential Task Force on the Attorney-Client Privilege. He also serves as a Vice Chair of the White Collar Crime Committee of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). Mr. Janis is a Master of the Edward Bennett Williams Inn of Court and is a Senior Counsel of the College of Master Advocates and Barristers. He has represented a number of clients in matters involving national security issues and holds a Top Secret security clearance. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® and has been elected to membership in The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation .

Henry F. Schuelke, III (hfschuelke@janisschuelke.com). Hank Schuelke received his undergraduate degree from St. Peter's College and his law degree from Villanova University. Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Schuelke served for four years in the Judge Advocate General's Corps, U.S. Army, including three years as a Military Judge in the U.S. Army Judiciary. Mr. Schuelke then served for seven years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, including three years as Executive Assistant United States Attorney. Mr. Schuelke entered private practice in 1979. Mr. Schuelke has served as General Counsel to The Autism Society of America, 1980-1990; Special Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, 1980-1981; Special Counsel to the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Ethics, 1989-1991; and as a member of the Committee on Grievances, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, 1989-1995; he currently serves as Special Counsel to the District of Columbia Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure. Mr. Schuelke is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America®.

Lawrence H. Wechsler (lhwechsler@janisschuelke.com). Larry Wechsler received his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and his law degree from George Washington University, where he was a member of the Law Review and of the Order of the Coif. Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Wechsler served as law clerk to Judge Joseph C. Waddy of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Mr. Wechsler then served for nine years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, including two years as Deputy Chief of the Felony Trial Division. Mr. Wechsler entered private practice in 1979. He has served as a member of the Executive Committee and President of The Assistant U.S. Attorneys Association for the District of Columbia. Mr. Wechsler is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America®.

S. Robert Sutton (srsutton@janisschuelke.com). Robert Sutton received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and his law degree from Stanford University. Mr. Sutton began his legal career in Chicago as a litigation associate at Jenner & Block, and then joined the Washington, D.C. law firm of Steptoe & Johnson as an associate. He joined Janis, Schuelke & Wechsler in 1985 and became a partner in 1988.

William B. Shields (wbshields@janisschuelke.com). Bill Shields received his undergraduate degree from Manhattan College and his law degree, as well as an LL.M. in Taxation, from the New York University School of Law. Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Shields served for 3-1/2 years as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney's Office. He then served for 11 years as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the New York State Deputy Attorney General for Medical Fraud Control where he supervised a staff of attorneys, accountants and investigators in the investigation and prosecution of health care fraud. Mr. Shields entered private practice in 1988 concentrating in white-collar defense. He joined Janis, Schuelke & Wechsler in 1999.

Jennifer A. Sincavage ( jasincavage@janisschuelke.com).   Jennifer Sincavage received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in 2002, and her law degree from the George Mason University School of Law in 2005.  Following her graduation from law school, Ms. Sincavage worked as an attorney with the Criminal Tax Division of the Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service before joining Janis, Schuelke & Wechsler in June 2007.
